Spirit the Arctic Fox

Spirit joined Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary as a permanent resident in July 2017. He was found in a city in the state of New York and it is suspected that he escaped from a fur farm. Spirit was likely born in captivity and is habituated to humans, therefore he can't be released to the wild. As an arctic fox, he has a short snout, short ears, and short legs to aid in energy conservation and avoid hypothermia in cold climates.
